lets get to know each other?

We might work
well together if. . .

We might work well together if you value depth, curiosity, and a therapy process that honors your nervous system’s timing. If you’re open to experiential work that’s sometimes unconventional, often healing, and willing to reshape your story rather than rewrite it neatly. I’m observant, direct, and attuned to what lives beneath the surface, and yes, there’s room for laughter, plushies, and fun here too.

Outside the therapy room, I’m usually watching horror movies, wandering cemeteries, reading, or playing Magic: The Gathering or D&D. I love creative, tactile projects (including ethical taxidermy), cuddling plushies, and finding comfort in things that are a little strange and very tender. I also believe therapists need therapists, and I value doing my own work as part of how I show up here ( I love working with my therapist!).

When I’m not
doing therapy

Some of my core
Values . . .

My work values depth over urgency, curiosity over judgment, and safety before intensity. I believe healing happens in relationship, and that what we call symptoms are often intelligent adaptations. Ambivalence belongs here. Therapy is political. Halloween is every day.

Who I see

I work with people who are thoughtful and self-aware, often highly capable, yet feel disconnected or weighed down by emotional learnings that aren’t fully conscious. Many have histories of trauma, complex family dynamics, or relationships that asked them to adapt early. They often arrive feeling disconnected from their emotions or unsure how to trust themselves again.

For any MTG fans out there, Slimefoot and Squee is one of my favorite commanders!

About Hallows End Collective Counseling

Hallows End Collective Counseling is a licensed trauma therapy practice specializing in PTSD, dissociation, LGBTQ+ care, and complex relational trauma. We create a space where depth, nuance, and the parts of your experience that don’t fit tidy boxes are welcomed.

If you’ve ever felt misunderstood, unseen, or unsure how to name what you’re carrying, hi. Many people arrive in therapy holding pain and questions that don’t fit neatly into words. Let’s figure it out together.

Meet S

I’m S (she/they), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in California, also holding a Doctorate in Social Work. My approach to therapy is relational, trauma-informed, and shaped by curiosity, creativity, and deep respect for how people learn to survive what they’ve lived through.

Therapy with me is about slowing down, paying attention, and making sense of what your nervous system learned to do to stay safe. You don’t need the “right” language or a clear agenda… we’ll decode this pain together.

What Hallows End Collective Counseling Means

Hallows End Collective came into being by paying attention to what doesn’t go away… the patterns that linger and the stories people carry long after they were “supposed to be over it.” This work sees those experiences as meaningful adaptations, not flaws to erase.

Here, healing is a zigzag tied to a balloon and someone let the air out, it’s messy and that’s okay. You don’t have to edit yourself to belong. Hallows is proudly queer-affirming and committed to expanding access to care. All are welcome here with openness and respect. Let’s goooo, we’ve been waiting for you.

Some stories don’t end when they’re told.
They linger in the spaces between who you were and who you’re becoming

What can you expect?

I often work with people who:

  • Feel fragmented, dissociated, or difficult to explain

  • Have tried therapy before but felt unseen or overwhelmed

  • Carry complex trauma, attachment wounds, or identity questions

  • Think deeply but struggle to feel grounded or present

Entering the Work . . .

First session

You can expect:

  • A warm conversation about what brought you here

  • Attention to your goals and nervous system first

  • Collaboration on where to begin (there’s no script or rush)

Beyond the first session

We may:

  • Track emotional learnings as they show up in session

  • Trace connections between experience and adaptation

  • Use somatic/experiential work

  • Stay grounded in consent and safety

Therapy with me is intentional, relational, and curious. We may create things, map inner worlds, and meet internal monsters as adaptations shaped by experience. We work to understand the pain that produced them and how they can change. Relief can happen here. No creative experience is required, and participation is always collaborative and optional.

My role vs yours

You are the expert on your experience. My role is to help you notice what you already know but couldn’t yet name, and to make sense of it in a way that feels manageable.

Modalities Commonly Used

I tend to take an integrative approach, but if you are looking for

  • Work that traces patterns back to where they formed and how they live now

  • Care that is attuned to dissociation, pacing, and stability

  • Relational, depth-oriented exploration of patterns and attachment

  • EMDR-informed trauma therapy

  • Less shame and inner critic

  • Plushies

Welcome.
